MCCI Demos Next Generation Products at ESEC-Tokyo
"No Risk" Interconnectivity Solutions

ITHACA, N.Y. and TOKYO, May 13, 2009

MCCI® Corporation, the world’s leading developer of USB connectivity for the portable device industry, today announced a suite of demos showcasing its next generation products at the 12th Embedded Systems Show at the Tokyo Big Sight, May 13 – May 15. Highlighting the product demonstrations is the introduction of MCCI’s Windows 7 USB host drivers.

Connectivity solutions for wireless and portable devices are undergoing a significant increase in complexity and capabilities. More and more, consumer products are connecting to the Internet either on their own or through a personal computer. High Definition video and larger memory capacities mean faster data rates are needed to store and retrieve media content. To meet these increased demands, MCCI is working to deliver USB3.0 products in the second half of 2009.

In addition, MCCI will be showcasing demos involving Wireless USB, MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), PictBridge, and ENCM (Experimental Network Control Model), which is the precursor to the soon-to-be-announced CDC Networking Control Model. MCCI's Win7 drivers are backwards compatible with Windows XP and Vista systems. With worldwide business and customer support locations that include Japan and world-class code in more than 600 million products, MCCI enables OEMs, ODMs, silicon vendors, and IP providers to effortlessly meet their customers’ needs.

According to MCCI CEO Terry Moore, “MCCI’s modular, next generation USB products are the no-risk solutions for today’s IP and silicon vendors, OEMs, and ODMs. With consumer spending slowing and world market growth down, portable product designers profit by innovating with proven end-to-end solution providers like MCCI.”
