ADB Driver Press Release

MCCI Releases Android Debug Bridge (ADB) Driver
ADB Driver adds value for both product developers and end-users

ITHACA, USA, March 23, 2011

MCCI Corporation, the world’s leading developer of USB connectivity to the mobile phone and portable device industry, today announced the availability of MCCI's Android Debug Bridge (ADB) Driver.

The MCCI ADB Driver makes the connection between an Android-powered device and a computer. ADB lets you interface with and control your Android-powered device from your Windows PC via the command line. Not only are its debug and diagnostic capabilities useful for product developers, but its ability to support the installation of applications is a plus for end-users.

The MCCI ADB Driver is a clean-room implementation that is not an adaptation of the Android ADB Driver. "We needed to start from scratch to build in the same level of quality found in the software we have delivered in over 700 million products. This allows us to fully support and adapt the driver for our customers' needs," explains MCCI CEO Terry Moore.

The MCCI ADB Driver delivers the high performance and WHQL quality you expect from MCCI. This ADB Driver's performance is better than the other available ADB drivers, and it can be customized to meet the specific needs of different product developers. MCCI provides adaptation, maintenance, customization, and support services. MCCI's ADB Driver is currently available for both 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
